personal trainers are gone
I fired my personal trainers. Not really fired them, I’m just not going to go for a few months. It was definitely working, but they’re raising their prices to $50 per half hour session and I just don’t want to spend $400 a month on it. It would only actually be $360 because they give some sort of price break, but that is still a lot. I’ll use the money toward something else.
Instead of going to personal training, I’m going to start spin classes which are free at my gym. I’m sure I’m the last one to catch on to this, but I’m excited and nervous about it. I’m going to an intro to spin class Saturday morning where they tell you everything you need to know to survive your first class. Correction – I’m going if I get out of traffic court in time.
I don’t know if I wrote about this ticket in here, but I have a ticket that could potentially cost me over $400. I was speeding, sure, so give me the speeding ticket. But then the cop also gave me a ticket for violating a restriction on my driver’s license. The violation was corrective lenses and I told him I had lasic, but he didn’t buy it. He also gave me a ticket for an obstructed license plate because my plates had that dealer frame around them. It is not obstructing anything, but I got the ticket anyway. So I’m hoping that the judge I get will be lenient and dismiss the DL restriction when I show her my new improved DL (which I have to get tomorrow!!) and show her the pictures I’ve taken of my car without the dealer frame around my license plates. God, I’m hoping.
Work has still been pretty crummy. My boss has this crazy new attitude and it is so obvious that he just really doesn’t care about any of us. He even told the executive assistant that the only opinion he really cared about was that of the senior VP. Nice. Nothing like your boss really taking an interest in what you’re doing and what you think about things. He is still a decent boss, just really sort of on a power trip and a little detached about everything.
The other bad thing that has happened is that Clancy’s ears are still infected. I gave him his oral antibiotics twice a day every day and I put that stuff in his ears twice a day too. The only thing I was really lax about was cleaning out his ears, which is probably the most important step. It’s just that he hates it so much and I never get any grime out of there anyway. He’s going back to the vet tomorrow and I’m sure they’ll make me feel like a jerk somehow. Also, his ears are kind of greasy from putting that stuff in there a couple of times a day. I’m not sure if I’m going to bathe him tonight and then clean out his ears or just let the vet deal with that. I don’t want any water to get trapped in there and make it worse.
