hang up

D@vid Geffen hung up on me earlier today. I've been trying to reach his foundation office for two weeks now. Last week I told a friend with impressive connections who I was trying to contact and she said if I didn't have any luck that she could find a number for me. I was kind of at a dead end today, so I asked her to find out what she could and she was all, "So you want Bob Geld0f's cell phone number, right?" Um, no. I want a number for D@vid Geffen's assistant or his foundation president. She made a few phone calls and gave me a number to try. On the third ring he answered, "This is David." Holy cripes!!! The thing is that I didn't really want to talk to HIM, I wanted to talk to the foundation president because I understand that's why he has that person in place. I mean, he's been a donor for over 30 years, so he wasn't completely offended that I called him on his cell phone and I didn't say anything weird, but obviously he felt like I should have been calling another number. And I wanted to! Oh man, I feel like a jerk.

I emailed Kim for support and she said that the guy who sings for Green D@y hung up on her once. I’m not sure if that’s better or worse.
